In Twilight

One thing I wonder about that episode. Why didn't the surviving humans just alter themselves to look like an alien race? Add blah-blah-blah false bio sign readings to fool sensors and the Xindi wouldn't know squat.

Plus we see how chicken shit the Vulcans are. No asylum for humanity. Do they fear the Xindi? Is it illogical to preserve a dying race by risking your own? Yes, on both counts it seems.

I wondered why the humans simply didn't break up and spread themselves out. If you all group in one place then you make it too easy to be wiped out. Would the Xindi really have taken the time to hunt down the humans one by one? Would that have even been practical?

See, that always bothered me. We had spent at least a hundred years becoming allies, and when Earth gets destroyed, they just abandon us?

Oh, i forgot, they were willing to take Archer, but only so T'Pol could come back. Why Soval cares so much for her is never quite explained. Surely concern is an emotion.

I remember the first time I saw that statue sitting on the shelf I thought to myself that that had to be Cochran since it was just how Geordi described the statue in First Contact.

Concern is an emotion, and we see it with other Vulcans. Soval has concern for her warmly, but without overstated or sappy emotion. In other words, he's still Vulcan. That is very well done. If only the writers could've done as much for T'Pol in general.

Twilight was a fantastic episode where we see sacrifice from Archer and then T'Pol that transforms from obligation to more. Truly beautiful. :)

Jolene really was outstanding in this episode. She was much like Soval -- warm while being Vulcan. Perfect mastery.
