Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus **SPOILER** discussion

Has anyone else seen this yet? I don't think it's out in North America yet, but it just came out in the UK and Australia, and I saw it earlier tonight. Enjoyed it, though it's definitely not at the level of the movies that Gilliam was making in his prime.

I'm curious to see what others thought of it, and how you think they handled Heath Ledger's absence in the "imaginarium" scenes. I actually wasn't expecting Ledger to have *that* many scenes in the movie.

I saw it about a week ago, I enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I was suprised by how much Heath Ledger was actually in it, but I think it's a shame we didn't get to see how he would have played the parts with him actually in the Imaginarium.

Overall I'd rate it probably 7/10, enjoyable but seemed like it lacked focus.

I saw it today. I thought it was a visual treat but apart from that I was disappointed. I didn't find the characters to be very interesting at all. I give the movie only 5/10.

However the elderly lady sitting behind me seemed to have really enjoyed the movie judging from her laughter and squeals of delight. She was more interesting than a couple of the characters.
