Well, first of all, that's a corridor from Enterprise. And when I click on the link provided, I get this:
![]()
I get a "The page cannot be displayed" message, and I'm accessing it from inside intel...
What is it for, if it needs that sort of action? I generally don't add certificate exceptions without having a good idea why I'm doing so, and I can't think of any reason Intel would require it of me, simply to look at images.Well, first of all, that's a corridor from Enterprise. Just showing what Intel put up. That screen you're getting is a certificate issue because it's a secure (https) site and it's freaking Firefox out. Just add the exception (link at the bottom).

Also, the image is kind of large; could it be scaled down to something more 640x480-ish? (While larger images are sometimes permitted under special circumstances such as the "Blue Warp Nacelles" thread and in the Trek Art Forum, posters are usually asked to keep images to that size or smaller to avoid page-stretching.)
The URL obviously points to an Intel domain.

That doesn't prevent it from being spoofed. Someone could've send a bogus certificate to my local server for all I know.
I'll scale it down I guess, but why be concerned over the certificate issue. The URL obviously points to an Intel domain. The issue is with Firefox (not Internet Explorer) because you get redirected to an https site. It's not a big deal.

i think part of the concern is the site put up an image from enterprise while
trying to pass it off as from the movie.
one wonders about the motives.
was it done in jest.. why.
It's a joint conspiracy by the Romulans and the people from Amway.
