Sounds like fun, depending on the length of deployment. I'm headed to Egypt in the fall, but only as part of a cruise (my honeymoon!), so i'll just be stopping through to check things out...

I spent some time studying in Egypt my senior year of high school and it was wonderful! My Arabic vocabulary was only a measly few words but my French was fluent enough at the time to get by. Have fun!

^^You just reminded me of what my friend Anna's father said to me when I told him I was going to Egypt: he asked if I'd talked to my father about it saying, "He sphynx it's a good idea? Are you sure you're not in denile? After all, you may miss your mummy!"

Even better than him coming up with that on the spot was the fact that he did so naked (her parents were nudists), with only the carton of ice cream he was eating concealing his junk from my view. (Somehow I've always felt my wit would be diminished without clothing.)
