I'd be done with the show as well if I had to pay for it. It's certainly not worth the money of CBS All Access. They are exploiting the Star Trek fanbase for their hand-earned dollars.

It is, at least, lively and inventive with familiar premises. STD was a pretty dreary trudge as it picked the bones of the Franchise.
Orville is amusing, but it's basically a lite, comedic re-tread of TNG.

I think you should take the 'leave and (really) not come back' challenge. The reason I say this is because we've seen other posters give the "I'm done with this show" speech and ultimately resurface here. One of the most vocal just reappeared in the episode thread this week.

I've counted at least 2-3 others. Everyone was seemingly "done"....but now have magically all reappeared and have plenty of knowledge and insight about the series to fuel the same old arguments with.
What was the point of that? Dumb plan, dumb reveal, dumb endgame.

Well, it certainly strains credibility when you get the "Im out! This show sucks and the writing is turble...SJW crap...canon...spores suck...fanwank...etc" declaration speech from a naysayer, and then they pop back up 2 weeks later arguing about the same stuff.

Almost as creepy as someone who has no better use of their time than continuing to purposefully expose themselves to entertainment they hate so that they can be well-informed enough to argue and cause conflict with people they don't know about it on a daily basis.
THAT's creepy. And weird. And kinda sad.
It does but is it worth the energy? Honestly, is it worth it? There is no longer a free exchange of ideas but a stick to bash one's opposition by stating hyperbolic rants against the opposition.
Yeah, it's ridiculous. But, apparently DISCO is "not true Star Trek" and has "horrible writing" instead of actually discussing the merits of the production.

If you hate DSC so much, that's cool, stop watching. Sounds like a good idea if you are not enjoying yourself. Those of us who love the show, think the writing is fine and are enthusiastic about future episodes will continue to watch and hold down the fort here.

Yes, he is. But, people are allowed to disagree and exchange ideas. That's the point of discussion, not the "I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude.
