I'm disgusted.

We had our first football game last night at Arrowhead Stadium. The news tonight reported on the mess left behind by "fans" in the parking lot. The occasional bottle or scrap I could see. But the pictures they showed on the news showed piles of garbage laying around.

Sometimes human beings just utterly disgust me.

Wow, people being slothful lazy-asses. Clearly this is sufficient grounds for the extermination of the species.

It's no diffrent then if you have a big party at your house. Then you wake up in the morning and there is a mess. Only difference is this is a party involving well over 70,000 people.

It's in the parking lot and there are people that are paid to clean it up. It's not like everyone drove into the woods and started draining motor oil from their cars onto the ground.

Meh. When was the last time a huge amount of people got together and there WASN'T a mess left behind?

Meh. To me, this is the price you pay to have an NFL franchise. Fans don't give a shit and it shows.

Hey, dude, no big deal! We'll clean it up. See?

Even at the White House, after the movie ends, there's popcorn and wrappers all over the floor.

Maybe they should've put up more trash cans; there doesn't seem to be a trash can anywhere in sight in the picture.

I'm usually disgusted at humans, but that's not a big issue.

Having a lot of garbage, and leaving it to be collected at once by people who have the right equipment is the most efficient way to collect garbage. If people were to bring together the garbage, or bring it with them and throw it away, it would take much more man-hours than for whoever is paid to clean it up. And they have a party, I've been taught that when I party I put 100% of my effort into the party.

Leaving garbage like that is bad if you do it in the mountains where there is no-one to collect it, or when you do it in a public park, there is someone to collect it, but you still ruin the rest of the people who went there and you don't take the responsibility for the garbage because no-one knows that you left it.

Also, one more thing, when I go hiking, we often run into garbage left by someone. And everyone gets disgusted by the people who left it there. And then leaves it. Just because it's not your garbage doesn't make leaving it there less bad. People bring garbage down to keep the mountain clean, not because its their garbage, and your back won't hurt if you take one additional bottle to throw away.

It was a Football game. As long as they weren't tipping over cars and starting fires, I consider it a win.

Not that bad at all. Looks like normal tailgating. I was expecting a lot worse, since you made a big deal about it. 70,000 people, lots of grilling and drinking, not a lot of trash cans (or not conveniently located) = trash in parking lot. It's generally even in piles, and not spread wherever. Seen much, much worse.

A resounding "meh" on this one...
