Drug-crazed madman!
''I'm a doctor, not a butcher!''
OK, this is pre-TOS, but I thought I'd mention it. DeForest Kelley appeared in 1962 in the Bonanza episode, "The Decision," as a doctor sentenced to hang for the murder of a journalist. The judge in this episode was portrayed by John Hoyt, aka, Dr. Boyce in The Menagerie and The Cage. It also happened that the judge blamed Kelley's character for the death of his wife. I saw the episode on TVLand recently, and at one point the judge says about Kelley's character, "He's not a doctor, he's a butcher." Other than coincidental, I wonder whether there's any connection between this line and "I'm a doctor, not a _________." I wonder whether there's even a way to find out.
