Ever eat at Long John Silvers?

I do on occasion, the only fish I can stand to eat.

Well, when I do I always get a side order of "Krums."

It's not something on their menu and I don't even think they cost anything but what it is is little pieces of their fried breading that's flaked/broken off of their battered fish.

Man, it's good stuff!

Um, no.

:wtf: That's not "fish".

That actually sounds kind of good. :shifty:

Well, better than anything they might sell that purports to contain "fish", at least.

LJS "fish" is actually all the imported tropical aquarium fish that die from fungus on the trip up here to the states. They drain the infected tanks, mix the fungus-coated fish with starch and potato flakes and deep fry it.

The "premium" cuts that some LJS offer are actually plecostomus fins and shark eyelids.

I actually believe you. Has anyone found Nemo yet:lol:

Hey K'ehleyr - welcome back! Has junior gone back to school yet? ;)

I've eaten at LJS, but only when I can't look at another burger, burrito, taco or piece of fried chicken. Since I eat most of my meals at home that doesn't happen very often. I can tolerate it four or five times a year. Never ordered or had "Krums" yet though.

Hi Trample, yes thank you, peace reigns:lol:. Miss that sulky teenage presence already:(

No LJS around here...I used to enjoy them from time to time (there was one within walking distance of where I grew up).

Personal favorites there are the chicken planks, shrimp, a few fries (they give you too many) and yes, krums. Krunchy dekadence! ;)

Oh...and hushpuppies. Gotta do the pups when you're there.
