The other Constitutions?

The other Constitution-class ships. Matt Jeffries had originally intended for the Enterprise's sister ships to all have registries in the 1700's.

Since the Constellation is the only other starship that appeared on screen with a visible registry number, it's hard to claim that it was inconstant with anything.

I suppose.

Still, they could at least have made it 1710.

"The Menagerie" is an oversight. "Doomsday Machine" not so much in my opinion. Although i'm waiting for the Remastered version to change my mind about this episode. One of the few Treks that were seriously impaired by the limitations of the FX at the time...
