Here at home, that is - the rest of you get it on March 29th in the US, and May 5th in the UK (even though it's actually April's book...)

And a big shout-out to Alan Dingman, who did the cover- it looks even better in the flesh...

Rosalind is right - that's one of the more visually striking books we've had in a while.

I'm looking forward to this - the furthest forward the mainstream novel line has yet gone. 2383. And catch up with Nog and Guinan. And La Forge gets a central role. All good. :techman:

The cover does look good. Unfortunately, Amazon UK still don't seem to have the Kindle version available for pre-order:(

Nice. Getting a physical cover is the only thing I have really missed about paper books, since I switched to ebooks.

I miss the covers too. Then I think about all the space I'm saving and that I can change the size of the font (I'm getting old), suddenly the cover art doesn't seem so important. ;)

Oh, yeah I do agree with you. It's a very minor thing that is not even close to canceling out all of the positives for me.

I just found the pre-order for the Nook book version of IFM, so it's on my wishlist and I'll be buying it first thing on the 29th. I won't pay for a book until it actually comes out, and I can download it.

Historic vessels? So what ship disappeared this time? Guess that's the 200-year old technical mystery.

I have the book on pre-order from Amazon.ca and they usually send their Trek novels out around the 15th of the month, regardless of the scheduled release date. I think they just want to turn their stock and hate keeping things on hand they don't have to.

Borders is closing up shop in down town San Francisco so I'm switching my Star Trek book buying to a local chain. They told me they cut back on Star Trek because they weren't selling at the store by my house but would be happy to special order and this is the first one I asked them to order. Looking forward to them telling me it's in.
