If you were stuck in a Runabout with....

Maybe it's time to start something new....

Well if you were stuck in a Runabout for say a week on a long range mission or just having to travel back and fourth between the Station and your destination.......Say you're stuck with:

Quark

Garak

Weyoun

and

Sisko

Say it was a mission to Cardassia and that usually takes a while of course.

What would you do?

Personally I think I'd find a nice quiet place in the back of the runabout since it might be a crazy ride but then again since you're the pilot of the Runabout you can't really leave the cockpit.


What would you do to pass the time?

Play Kotra with Garak?

Try to play some Tongo with everyone? Now that's an interesting idea....Playing Tongo in the Runabout with Quark, Garak,Sisko,and Weyoun.

Listen to Weyoun go on about how great the Founders are and how the Jem'hadar will no doubt find us and kill us all?

Place a bet on who's gonna kill who first with Quark?

Since you're a Starfleet Officer,not to mention a noob to DS9 of course one of the lower rank type guys [You're an Ensign at least] you might try asking Sisko for some pointers or at least get a few good stories out of him.

I figure I'll see how this thread goes discussion wise [this for the first combination of who'd you be stuck with in a runabout and what you'd do] and then I'll move onto the next Mission/Group.

-Inspired by my other thread of who'd make the better traveling companion. Been watching some more DS9 and the Runabout seems to be the most common place the characters are in any given episode.

I think Garak would be the ideal choice - he loves to talk and has a plenty of stories to tell. Sisko is a second runner-up but unlike him Garak does not have to maintain an appropriate professional distance in conversations.

Given I'm a Starfleet officer I'd do my duty, whatever that is. A trip to Cardassia from DS9 could be several days and as one of only two Starfleet officers with three passengers who should be behind bars I doubt I'd have much time for fun, all I'd probably get to do is man the controls, eat, sleep, eat, man the controls, eat, sleep.

Apart from Sisko, who would be my CO I think only Quark I'd be comfortable talking to much. Garak is an ex-spy and Weyoun is a Dominion Vorta, I'd be very suspicious of both.

And just to make it more interesting you being the Ensign, well you're the unlucky noob probably too.

After all, having the Emissary, a exiled Cardassian, a Ferengi, and a Vorta on your Runabout makes you a good target for any Jem'hadar fighters roaming the area.

I would whisper into Quark's ear that Sisko said the Ferengi are a bunch of greedy, savage, immoral, un-evolved monkey's. I'd whisper into Sisko's ear that Quark said that Hew-mons are arrogant, imperialistic, racist puppets who use their morals as a front to try and dominate the galaxy. I'd whisper into Garak's ear the Weyoun said that Cardassians are the weak link in the Dominion because Cardassians are inherently sub-intelligent, cowards who have lost every war that have been involved in. And I'd whisper into Weyoun's ear that all the others said the Dominion is doomed to fall because the Founders aren't gods but genetic freaks who should be locked up in a zoo. Then I would sit back and watch the fun.

Oh and since I am a low ranked officer on a runabout I would write my will because there is a very good chance I'll be dead soon.

After all you're the first target that gets shot at if you're next to Sisko!

Plus since you're a lowly ensign, and chances are when the runabout gets hit by the first phaser blast that console is gonna blow up in your face.
