Regarding gym gear, I remember how at some Metallica shows, most of them would just be wearing jeans and rock band T-shirts. But Lars Ulrich, the drummer, would be in shorts and shirtless. And he kind of needed to be: playing drums in a speed metal band has got to be one heck of a workout! Especially for hours at a time, under stage lights.
