If you were Seska, what would you have done?

I don't think, this lady thought she had any choice in the matter other than what she did. Create a power base, use some leverage and form a second Cardassian Empire... but if you were the Cardi spy lost in Space surrounded by your mortal enemies you have no reason to trust... What would you do? What would you do?

Everything Cardie, Fed and Maquis was a lifetime away at that point. She should have figured out a way to hide who she was for a great deal longer, shut up the insurrectionist talk, and make sure she was close to indispensable before exposure.

I view the path she did take as the reason why the Cardassians kept on suffering, no matter what. To scheme was so culturally inbred, to avoid it would be like asking Picard to become a Cardinal in Rome.

I'll go with option #1. Forget about Voyager, that's small change. I think Seska would have made a great Empress! VOY's tech and her own wits were all the advantage she would ever have needed.

Create my own empire but not with the kazons if I could avoid it (I mean how backwards were they?). Find a race that is not too dumb and sexist but not too smart so I can manipulate them to my own purposes and then take over and start my own empire.

If she'd only waited til they got out of Kazon territory, she could have left Voyager for the space station at the Nekrit Expanse...She'd be running the place within a month, and from there, the galaxy. :cardie:

She could have told Janeway but not Chakotay until Janeway calmed him down a bit - I mean Janeway put a spy in the maquis - could she really blame the Cardassians for doing the same?

I can't think of a clean answer for this one.

But the second option would've been more interesting than what they did. Shit, Janeway gave tempermental Torres a promotion.

She was Cardassian. It would have gone against her nature and training to admit she was a spy.

That having been said, I would have expected her to be more aggressive in trying to take over the ship, seeing as her secret was a ticking time bomb. With the ship under her control (let's assume a Maquis uprising in which Chuckles gets offed), she could then align herself with any number of groups besides the Kazon, which always seemed like a desperate move to me.

You all remember Alliance? Was Seska and Kulluh going to stick with the "Alliance" just because the Trabe started with the backstabbing first? This proves Seska was on some level capable of dealing with Janeway as something other than a resource... Meanwhile, how could Janeway make deals with the Borg Queen and patriate Seven of Nine but she couldn't... Cardassia and the Federation were on bloody good terms as of when Voyager was lost.

Seska didn't fear or Hate Voyager and Janeway, she just thought they were all over emotional idiots. Would you trust the cast of Barney the Dinosaur to pilot your cruise liner across the atlantic?

Go to Janeway. Eventually they would have discovered her true nature... She could have told Janeway that she was just like Tuvok. Remember, the cardassians and the federation were allies.

Stick around. Sure, eventually someone would figure it out, but this is Voyager - if she gives a sweet 'lil speech about how principled she is, Janeway will buy it hook, line and sinker.

Meanwhile, she's got sonic showers, a pristine ship that repairs itself no matter what... Neelix's cooking would be a difficulty, though. When Voyager got past the Nekrit expanse and he'd outlived his usefulness... let's just say he wouldn't outlive anything else. ;)

Leave the ship. GOD I hated Seska, the character and the actress. We have seasons 1-4 on DVD and next go round I am skipping anything she's in in full ugly Cardassian, pregnant glory. She turns my stomach. The actress left no scenery unchewed and she was ugly as hell BEFORE going Cardassian. Chakotay looks like a real ass during that entire arc.

I chose blend in. When and if the secret was exposed just tell Janeway that with them being stranded in the Delta Quadrant that what she was now isn't as important as to what she is now for Voyager.

In real life though I'm glad Seska left and I wished that we never saw her again. One of my least favorite characters on the show.

I also chose blend in. Seska should have made herself indispensable to the crew so that if/when her secret was discovered, they would look past it. But I also see her taking up an unpassable opportunity once in awhile. The Kazon thing was just desperation, at least at first.
