If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your friend?

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

One thing is for damn-sure. No matter who I know, or who I am with, I'm not going on any damn away mission. My odds are better on the ship.

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I'm really surprised that Data didn't have more groupies or people who wanted on the ship just to be near him.

I'd probably hang with Geordi and Data.

I'd've hung out with Pulaski until the opportunity arose to push her down an open turbolift shaft.

What an original joke ...........!

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

Well the Command crew seem to be quite the elitist clique so I doubt i'd get to hang out with them.

come to think about it, i'd be far to lazy to do all that Academy bollocks, I'd probably end up as one of the waiters in Ten Forward stealing shots from Guinan's bottle of Green when knowone was looking :P

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

Troi always seemed like the person I'd most get along with were I there. Similarly, I'd probably be good friends with Beverly too.

I can see Worf being somebody I'd get along well with - perhaps not "friends", but I wouldn't mind working alongside him.

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I'm surprised I'm the only one who mentioned Guinan. What's up with THAT?

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

Who would be my friend? Probably no one as I'm from a different world (this one) and so culturally, socially, we'd have little in common...

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

i'd probably be chillin with geordi and obrien while dating that doctor who works under beverly

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I'd probably hang out with Data a lot, because unlike Geordi, I can articulate human emotional motivations and responses using clinical terminology that Data could comprehend. Geordi was an engineer; great with machines, but when it came to talking about people, he blew.

As to who I'd date, I am of the opinion that a geek is a geek no matter the century, so I probably wouldn't be able to attract any of the hot women on the Enterprise, and I'd wind up dating the holodeck like Reg Barclay.

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I don't know who'd be my friend, but Will would be my boy friend. Well, probably not... :D

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I wouldn't be an officer (mid to senior petty officer level most likely) so that rules most of the principal characters out, aside perhaps from Chief O'Brien. He'd be pretty good to hang out with and talk shop....

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

I wouldn't have any friends I would spend all my free time in the holodeck......

Re: If you lived on the Enterprise D, who would be your frie

To answer my own (ancient now, sorry) question…

I think I would be good friends with anyone who liked me. I'd probably be on good terms with everyone. I tend to be like that in real life, if I work somewhere, I get along with everyone.

Pretty boring answer, really. But I found other peoples' answers interesting.

Let's face it. With access to a holodeck, no one would have any social life whatsoever. Or, at least, you'd never be able to look any of the women in the face in real life :D

Wesley. As long as it's season 3+ Wesley.

Honestly. I think he'd be interesting to hang out with.

I think Data would be fun to hang out with too, I'd have fun coming up with strained analogies to explain human behaviors to him.

Then at night I'd be shagging Troi. (Or Robin Leffler. (Sorry Wes but you're away at the Academy, someone has to do her. ;))

Just wanted to repeat myself. ;)

I'd try to suck up to baldy but alas I know it'd be futile or is that feudal? Anywho, prolly Data, Miles, and Troi (back at my place) and Worf. Heard blood wine really helps o2 transport.

Barclay. We'd be loners on the holodeck together, then he'd freak me out with technobabble and we'd go our seperate, idiosyncratic ways.

Then O'Brien. We'd be reminiscing about Ireland together, then I'd freak him out with random babble and we'd go our seperate, Gaelic ways.

Then Picard. We'd be arguing about classical music together, then we'd freak each other out with our ponderous babble and we'd go our seperate, educated ways.
