If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go to?

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Might be tempted to board the Voyager just to do what Harry Kim couldn't do regarding one Seven of Nine.

And then flush Janeway out the airlock.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

I'll join the chorus wanting The Doctor's TARDIS. Once you have that, you don't need anything else. :D

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Coruscant. Post Empire. ... Pre Vong.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Another vote for the TARDIS!

Joy

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Any ship built by Washu in the Tenchi Muyo universe.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

I'd head off into the "Last Action Hero" and pinch the "golden ticket" from that kid. After that, I could go to ANY universe anytime I wanted without restriction. More is BETTER.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

the Island (Lost).

As much as I love the show, I would NOT want to go the Island. People who aren't super-model gorgeous (and even some who are) drop dead there at an alarming rate.

I'm definitely another vote for the Tardis. Pal around with the Doctor and go wherever and whenever I want....sounds pretty good.

Also Earth, as depicted in TNG and DS9---seemed like a pretty idyllic place.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Do any of us really want to go to any of these places?

The Tardis? Sure, and end up murdered by The Master or eaten by something unpleasant...or stranded on some other world because someone started regenerating and wandered away forgeting who he was traveling with.

Trek reality? Okay. Let's be on Trek's 24th century Earth. While Odo's people are there. While they're there taking over people's identities. Voyager? Yeah. Have Q visit and turn you into something it's easy to step on, or maybe have the people from fluidic space or the Borg come calling. Just want a sample or two of the ship's company. Oh look! We'll take the one with the different quantum signature. That looks interesting.

Star Wars reality- Let's make sure to be somewhere that's going to one day be blown up, or at least where there's the constant threat that someone strong with the Dark side might show up and decide you're annoying. Crushed throat anyone? Laser fried incisions?

I know...

I'm being a killjoy.

The truth is I'm just mad it has to be the real me and I can't end up on Earth in a Superman reality as a Kryptonian. :D

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Sgt Shana M O'Hara's quarters at the Pit in Egypt.

Rachel Gibson's apartment in LA

P2 on Christmas Eve with a shotgun to kill Wes Bentley and save... Rachel Nichols' character.

Gaila's quarters at Starfleet Academy

(anyone sensing a theme here?)
I have absolutely zero idea what you're talking about, except possibly the last one. And if it is what I think it is, dude, you need to get out more. :).

Myself: Earth in the Federation days, late 24th Century.

Though, as I've said in the past, if you extended it to books, I'd much rather be a citizen of the Culture.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

I woud really like to take a ride in the cockpit of an Eagle. I think I'd like to do that pre Sept 1999, though! I've always loved the design of the eagles since I was a kid, and even now I think the cockpits look convincing.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

- The bridge of the Enterprise - which I would take over.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

Devil's Tower Wyoming during the arrival of the aliens (Close Encounters of the Third Kind) and the Mothership...I would knock over Roy and get onboard myself!

DS9 is pretty dangerous, too. But I'm making the cheerful assumption that I wouldn't be whacked the minute I set foot on any of these places. Otherwise I'd just stick to 21st C Earth. :D

Exactly. You have to assume you are the unkillable series lead. If you wanna outfit me in a red shirt, fergit it. Ideally, the series would be named The Amazingly Hazardous Adventures of Temis the Vorta, Which Regardless Always End Up for the Best (Co-Starring Joe Flanigan). Then I know they can't kill me off! (Joe can survive for two or three seasons before dying heroically in my defense, after which he is replaced by a character played by Josh Holloway who is allergic to shirts.)

Star Wars reality
Star Wars would suck. Either you are a non-Jedi, and therefore irrelevant, or a Jedi, and therefore you always have to worry about the Dark Side taking you over.

Hey, if we're assuming unkillability, here's another good option: holodeck/holosuite. Then you can go anywhere you want and always arrange for everything to happen the way you want it to. :bolian:

Rachel Nichols characters in GI Joe, Alias, P2 and Star Trek.

Re: If you could travel anywhere in TV & film scifi, where would you go

- Rama (not the BBS poster Rama, the Arthur C Clarke Rama)- Babylon 5 (2257)- Caprica just before the fall

I have faith in The Doctor. Besides, what's the fun of the adventure if there aren't any risks? :p
