If you could serve...

... on any ship, with any crew, during any time... where, with who, and when would you?

Me? Thanks for asking....

I'd serve on the E-E with Khan's crew (minus Khan, I'm captain, but the rest of the blokes seem to know how to get things done and are adaptive) during the 21st century. We would rule a great deal of space.

I'd serve on Enterprise-E, with the TNG cast. Honestly, I'd be happy being deep in Federation territory. For my money, there'd still be lots and lots of interesting stuff to see and visit there.

Or, if not on a ship, on Risa in a perpetual orgy.

I'd serve on the Enterprise-D in 2008, with myself as Captain. I'd rule over the planet, raining photon torpedo-y death on any nation which would dare oppose me.

Definitely Deep Space Nine. The station's exciting, Bajor's beautiful--and one heck of a crew!

but u'd have to put up with Kai Winn and Odo's constant "Hrrumphs!" he really could be watching you at any time -- no privacy. would you stay onboard ds9 when the Cardassians retake the station??

Agreed. It's a nice end of space. The Cardassians and Bajorans were the best fleshed out Trek race IMO, and DS9 is just darn cool... the Cardassian architecture was a fresh change from grey/beige Starfleet stuff. For being "the ass end of space", the area was certainly more interesting than the "Wild" and "Untamed" Delta Quadrant.

That would depend, I suppose, on whether I entered the Trekiverse as a Federation member-species or as a Cardassian. ;)

Odo's not bad...as for Winn, well, in real life I work in customer service. I know how to deal with her type. ;)

Ohhh, I so agree. A lot of times when I read books about DS9, people knock Cardassian architecture as ugly. While it's kind of dark and brooding, it never crossed the line into "ominous" for me. In fact, I find it very appealing to the eye, much more so than Federation architecture, which I find quite bland.

Call me crazy, my choice would be Voyager. Voyager is not too big, not too small. Capt Janeway would be a great Capt so serve under, and any ship that has 7 of 9 gets my vote.

Granted, living in the DQ for 7 years would be a drag, however, getting so see things that no other Federation ship besides Equinox has seen would make all the trouble worthwhile.

Resistance is Futile

DS9 as something, but my official place would be the Defiant's pilot.

Or non-Fed, would be on a Dominion ship- probably the same kind that took out the Valiant... or maybe the very ship that took out the Valiant... (the little ones are cooler, but less likely to be used for suicide runs, I think... :p )

TOS crew, as an assistant science officer under Spock, on the Ent. E - mostly because the Ent-A doesn't have a holodeck :) BTW, how cool would it be to live in a holosuite? You invite a friend over, open the door, and step into a medieval castle or whatever your simulation is...

Enterprise NX-01.

I'd be in engineering so I could keep an eye on Commander Tucker. Well, actually both eyes.

DS9 definitly for me as well. Sisko is the best Capt in the federation and has the best crew. Winn really isn't too bad. I've had to deal with worse, cause I too have worked customer service.
I wouldn't mind trying to put the screws to Quark.

if I had the money, I'd build ds9 as a hotel somewhere on the coast, or at least a section of it. Three high pylons coming out of the ground would be one hell of a tourist attraction!
