If you could be in any band, which would it be?

Off the cuff, I'd pick my favorites, Sabs, Priest etc. But after thinking it through a bit, the Beatles might be even more fun. From the outside looking in that is. More work than we probably imagine, but the movies & all that still look to be on the fun side.

After reading up on Floyd, that band as much as I admire them would not make the top of the list with all the inner fighting & power struggles.

Anyway, a band that was innovative, lasted awhile & knew where the party was I suppose would be for me some of the criteria. Alice Cooper perhaps.

Right now? Yonder Mountain String Band. Great musicians having great fun playing. I wouldn't want to be in a band with a drama queen. They don't seem to have one.

Historically? No doubt, The Beatles. To be on the cutting edge of everything in popular music? Who could ask for more? But outside of Ringo, they could all be drama queens! And even Ringo quit the band in disgust in the middle of recording the White Album.

Right now Guns N' Roses, just to have a slight clue as to what the fuck is going on

Historically not sure if it counts but Elvis' backing band.

I'd go back to 1961 and take Stu Sutcliffs place as bass player for the Beatles.

I'd say STP, but if I was STP's guitarist then Dean Deleo wouldn't be which would be a disaster.

I'd play with Jonathan Butler. He works the genres I find myself most interested in. Praise & Worship music and that cross betwen Smooth Jazz and R&B.

The Beatles would be amaizing but trashing. The Stones would be cool too.
The Clash would be intense. To be in The Stone Roses would have been fun but frustrating. I would loved to have been in The Libertines or maybe Babyshambles such intence emotion and music with those bands, their live shows have to be seen to be believed.

I'd say Metallica back in the day, but they would just turn the volume down on all my recorded tracks and be mean to me for 8 years.

I'll go with a current band and say either NIN or Type O. Music that appeals to me and those are 2 bands that look like they have a really good time.
