If TOS is your favorite series, has it always been?

Actually no, it hasn't, I just couldn't stand Kirk's attitude towards females at all - but I simply adored the interaction between the big 3. And ultimately the lack of such interaction in the other series, the way the 3 just complement each other in their strengths and weaknesses, made me watch TOS episodes whenever they aired here. And I discovered that TOS has a very special place in my heart - one that none of the other Trek-series achieved.

Thus, despite its many flaws, TOS managed to overtake all the other series.

Yes - I totally agree with your opinion on Kirk. Moreover, your descriptions of Captain Kirk may explain why I've been such a diehard Spock fan for close to four years. Anyway, TOS is always going to be my favorite series - if only because it paved the way for the others. (And because of Spock.)

Actually, it wasn't ALWAYS my favourite...mainly because I could never appreciate the "terrible" effects that they used...though that really wasn't their fault. Also, as mentioned above, Kirk's attitude towards women really got on my nerves. Now that I've taken the time to go back and re-watch the TOS episodes, I'm finding it growing more and more on me, and it's now tied for my favourite (with VOY). I adore the arguments between Spock and McCoy, and find that TOS has the best overall characters. Although I never was able to take it seriously before, now that I go back and watch it again, I positively adore it.
