Certainly not as poorly written as Generations.

The primary grievance people have with that episode is that it's "racist"... This has nothing to do with the writing, but the casting. If the aliens in the episodes were portrayed by white actors, most would not have a problem with it. Reverse racism at it's finest.

Plus, I think it's fairly obvious to anyone with a clue that I was referring to the overall quality of writing within the show, which was quite consistently good. Anyone can cherry pick a single controversial or bad episode in a good series.

In contrast, they had a budget of millions for Generations and they used it on poorly written fan service crap.
