If there had been a Mirror Universe TV episode....

Kilana2

Vice Admiral
Admiral
.... what would the characters be like? Would they be all together? Where? Who would be good, who evil?

We already saw Mirror Tuvok and there are novels.

But picture your own Mirror Universe charakters and setting:

(Not something like Harry Kim would be Karry Him....:guffaw:)

Mirror Seska would be the goodie....

Elsewhere someone named Neelix as villainous. How could a Mirror Neelix act like?

May the discussion begin.....

Had to look Mirror Tuvok up because he didn't ring a bell. Somehow it never dawned on me that was actually Tuvok. Now you can be sure I'll be rewatching that ep sometime this weekend :D

I'm still not sure what makes the mirror universe the MIRROR universe.... Is a counterpart _supposed_ to be the reverse of the prime universe character (similar to Rom's doubts :) ), or is it just another alternate universe (allowing more freedom)?

I consider Neelix a good guy with issues that sometimes disturb his functioning because he can't control them....eager to show his skills (that are modest in number); so mirror Neelix should be a dangerous, suave guy that is very much in control of his emotions, with a lot of unsuspected skills... perhaps somewhat like Garak ?

MU Neelix a kind of Garak? For people who dislike PU Neelix, would that make him less annoying?

The MU are quite violent. Characters slaughter each other. Where is the fun when they are gone?

Mirror Harry should be different, too. He shouldn't be as bland as Jadzia Dax/Idaris.
We know about the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance and someone like Intendant Kira dominating the scene. On the other hand the Terran Rebellion. And spies among those groups. Neelix could also be a double agent.

There isn't obviously a Voyager marooned in the DQ, so where are they? Is there a private vessel with the name Voyager, commandeered by rebel Chakotay, trying to escape the Alliance forces?

I think "Living Witness" was a pretty good ad-hoc Mirror Universe story. Granted was all a fabrication, but I think that a MU Voyager story would have been pretty close to it. The problem would be making it work with DS9's version of the 24th c. MU. Granted, I don't think there's was/is a rule that says you'd have too; Voyager's could be yet another "Dark Timeline".

There was this episode with the doctor as the museum piece far in the future. They had a fiction of a bad voyager. And the doctor's holo novel.

So we have seen a bad Janeway. Interestingly the bad Chakotay was as boring as the good one. I guess that doesn't change. :D

I would not mind to see the evil Naomi. Normally I prefer to see her leave the set but that might be nice.

I just thought about that and I think there's a fundamental difference. The Living Witness holographic recreation "characters" are caricatures. Their only goal is to make the voyager crew look "evil". MU counterparts on the other hand could be extremely evil and cruel, but still would act sensibly and consistently in most situations-- they would act out of certain (self-)interests.

As far as mirror Janeways go, I'd much rather see the "Living Witness" version than what we got in the novels:

MU Janeway is an engineer on MU Chakotay's ship, but in reality she's a spy for the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. She was taught - by MU Owen Paris - to hate her own kind and to betray humans.

As I said, ad-hoc. A little tweek here and there, take out the history angle, and it'd work.

Outside of TOS I could never get into the Mirror Universe for some reason. I skip the DS9 ones now. I guess first time through it was a novelty but after that it was just silly...at least to me.

I did like Paris calling Neelix a hedgehog in Living Witness though...

And what were the black gloves supposed to signify? Wearing black gloves automatically makes you evil?

The DS9 MU turned silly real quick and lost its appeal.

Black gloves, self contained brass knuckles? I was trying to figure out how LW-Janeway kept 7 and her mini-collective in line.

Here goes nothing.

The rebel starship Voyager (based on a stolen design of the USS Voyager from the Prime Universe) captained by Chakotay is pulled into the Delta Quadrant by Suspiria. Many of the crew are killed upon arrival and Chakotay swears vengeance on Suspiria. He teams up with the Kazon to take Suspiria's array and kill her. Together Voyager and the Kazon conquer the Ocampa and take all their water, nuking the planet when they're done with it.

Shortly afterwards an Alliance ship captained by Seska attacks Voyager. They too had been pulled into the Delta Quadrant by Suspiria as they were tracking Voyager in the Alpha Quadrant. The Alliance ship overpowers Voyager but is destroyed by the Kazon who also destroy Suspiria's array after their union with Voyager ends abruptly. Voyager is now stranded. Seska and her crew - including B'Elanna Torres and many Klingons, Cardassians and Bajorans beam over to Voyager and are invited to join Voyager's compliment or die. They agree to join. Among the survivors of the Alliance ship are human slaves Kathryn Janeway, Tom Paris and Harry Kim who are freed by Chakotay. Janeway and Seska fight for Chakotay's affections and the position of first officer by seducing him.

Crossing paths with the space pimp Neelix the crew are given all the information they need to cross this area of space for several years. Neelix is promised a place on the ship in exchange for his information but Chakotay double crosses him and has him killed by the emergency holographic executioner. Neelix's sex slave Kes is added to the crew.

Eventually Janeway arranges for Seska to die in a transporter accident and she becomes first officer. Forging a friendship with the Vulcan Tuvok and B'Elanna Torres they set out to oust Chakotay from power after 3 years of failed attempts to get home. Reaching Borg space Chakotay announces that he will attempt to contact the Borg Queen to arrange safe passage through their territory. While Chakotay is aboard a Borg Cube Janeway takes control of Voyager and impliments her plan. She instructs Tuvok to harness Kes' mental powers in an effort to escape Borg space and leave Chakotay behind. This succeeds but Kes explodes to death after Voyager is clear of Borg space. Chakotay is assimilated by a drone named Seven Of Nine and never heard from again.

Having decided that the Delta Quadrant is ripe for conquest Captain Janeway convinces her crew to remain there rather than return to slavery under the Alliance. A mutiny between the rebel and alliance crews ensues. Harry Kim is beaten to death by Tuvok. Tom Paris vapourizes B'Elanna Torres. The Emergency Holographic Executioner fatally wounds Janeway by infecting her with a severe and fast acting version of the Vidiian phage. As Janeway's organs begin to shut down she decides that if she can't have Voyager then no one can. She activates the self destruct. Voyager explodes.

The End.
