Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn did voice acting for some of the Trek computer games. I wonder if their asking rates really would have been out of the budget of an animated series.

I was thinking more hypothetically, like if something like this had been done back in the early 2000s around the time when Stewart was doing all that voice acting for Trek computer games.Well, if you want it to sound like the TNG era, Stewart is well past that time. His voice reflects his age to a huge degree, Dorn can probably get away with it.
Hell, even when they haul James Earl Jones out for these random Darth Vader appearances on the various Star Wars films, his voice is totally off. At this point, an impersonator would be a better choice.
Ah gotcha. Maybe not on a regular, but if they did a "Lower Decks" version based on the actual characters from that episode, I could see him doing a few appearances. I could totally see Frakes doing it regularly.I was thinking more hypothetically, like if something like this had been done back in the early 2000s around the time when Stewart was doing all that voice acting for Trek computer games.

Really quite amazing work here, except for the Borg transporter beam looking and sounding like a Star Trek transporter.
