Said it before and I'll say it again-someone with talent needs to lock onto Little Fuzzy by Piper. The spin-off toys alone would make a fortune if it was done right.

Definitely. The fuzzies would have to be done with CGI, though, because a midget in a furry suit will alway look like a midget in a furry suit. It would be great to see Piper getting more recognition, though.

And could someone tell me why Allen Steele's Inner Space stories aren't under consideration? They seem ideal for movies.

Don't know why, but I would also like ot see this. Would make a great series on a cable outliet like Showtime or HBO where they could do it without the censorship of broadcast teevee.

Also, his "alternate space" work ("Goddard's People", The Tranquility Alternative) would make for an interesting movie, IMO.

Quantum Leap Reboot JJ. Abrahms style. Use QL theme. Update the look a bit, keep some sound effects. Set it in 2020 and have Scott Bakula play John Beckett. Use all of the best elements of the show to make a good movie. Star Trek 09 and A Team movie would be good examples to go by.

Yea, that'd be tough, unless they only actually show the sexual violence once, and then have a fade out or something for future occurences. It's tough enough reading it all to get through to the gem of the story, nobody would want to witness it more than once on TV.

Thomas Covenant would be much easier, only the one rape in it. And...Thomas Covenant Option for Movie(s) has been obtained by true fans of the series that would want to treat it with great respect, but, no one is willing to risk funding it.

Indeed, the sexual violence of that group of novels is rather off-putting, and covers the fact that it really is a great epic SF.

Nice bit of popcorn cinema but didn't really do the novels justice. Plus I think they'd work much better as character TV drama rather than big screen FX/action cinema.
