If Money Wasn't An Object.

Post pictures of what you would buy, rent, do if money wasn't an object.
Must be for sale/on the market at the time of posting.

1966 Fender Stratocaster.

What appeals to me is its finish and it's refret and also that it's a Fender Stratocaster.
£8, 300.00 (before shipping and import duties), on sale in New Jersey.

A classic 1962 Jaguar E-Type coupe (called the XK-E in the U.S.). One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Going for a median price of around $97,000 nowadays, depending on condition.

Of course, the problem is I'd need two of them because one would always be in the repair shop!

Hi @Bobby Burrows , and welcome to TrekBBS!

This is a nice idea for a thread! However, since you're new here, I just wanted to let you know that we don't allow hotlinking to images from other websites. Because of this, I have had to modify the posts in this thread to change the hotlinked images to links. In order to post images here, you need to use a dedicated image hosting service, such as imgur or Post Image. Thank you!

Buy a little house in an out of the way place and watch the world burn with my wife.

I happen to own a 1978 Jagurar XJ-12L, all original. The problem is, it's all original. I'd love to be able to put $50K into a full restoration. What's stopping me is, along with my 40-year-old car, I own a 125-year-old house, also all (mostly) original.

Two things. One of them is still doable for me over a period of time. The other is wildly impractical (I suppose) but it would be cool anyway.

1: Do everything I want to do to modify my car: upgraded wheels, suspension (partially done already), air intake, gears and maybe a few other bits. Probably need near $6500 before taxes.

2: Using my own schematics and 3D model as the basis build a full scale TOS Galileo shuttlecraft with working lights, door, etc that one can enter/exit, then get it transported from one Trek con to the next for fans to enjoy.

If it was just "moderate" (lol) amounts of money, then I'd probably like to do mundane things like home improvements and vehicle repairs that I can't afford to do now.

But if we're truly talking money is no object at all, richer-than-some-small-countries type of wealth, then the really "out there" idea that I'd love to do is the whole "space tourist" thing.

Sixty years old and still stunning! :techman:

That darn space ship.
What's your problem with it ? It's harmless and could be turned into a fantastic gaming room very easily.

Or you could get someone to clear it for a few hundred quid - taking a huge chunk off the asking price for it was just a cheap "Get it in the local papers for a quick sale" move.

Fantastic house...

I'd build a render farm and upgrade the workstation I built a few months back with more RAM.

This gothic mansion near where I was born. (The one with this space ship) - Still would lose the space ship unless it's an actual time machine/space ship.

@Bobby Burrows , I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this was a small miscommunication, or you didn't see my post, or something.

As per our site rules (if you haven't yet reviewed them, I would encourage you to look them over):

Don't hotlink. If you're posting a picture, host it on your own site/Photobucket, whatever. DON'T just link to another site. They hate that.

I have gone through and converted all your hotlinked images to links again. Please do not go and just repost them all from the same sources again. If you want to post images here, go get a free account at imgur, PostImage, etc. Then upload your images to the image hosting service that you chose, then you can embed the images from there. You cannot embed images here from random websites.

Thank you.
