If I only had one (and only ONE!) epp too watch it would be...

Believe it or not, "Shore Leave"

Just thinking of a place where anything you wish to happen can happen with just a thought.

..That would be a great place to visit. :techman:

The Trouble with Tribbles....I loved the photnovel as a teen and enjoy watching the episode whenever I get a chance to which sadly isn't that often...

For a long time, I did have only one episode.. In the mid 70s, I had recorded "The Doomsday Machine" on my audio cassette recorder and would play it back on those days when we couldn't pick up Channel 40's daily broadcast of Star Trek..I'd be in my room, listening to it while I built my models or read my science fiction novels..

When it was released (affordably) on video in the 80's, it was the first episode I purchased....

It was also the first episode I purchased when I got my DVD player in the early 2000s..

Now I have all 3 seasons on Blu-Ray..

But If I could have only 1, the Doomsday Machine would be my pick

What did you think of the remastered version?

My vote goes to Space Seed. Mr. Montalban just radiated charisma even on the small screen.

The remastered version is just fine..on a 1080p set it simply looks better..
the remastering team didn't go out to change the story, and that's exactly what I wanted, just update the effects, not to do a GOLLY-GEE-WIZZ!!!LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO!! CGI wankfest..

I have to agree with everyone who said Doomsday Machine. In fact, I don't have much to do today **runs off to the DVD collection**

The Corbomite Manuever

IMO - the best Star Trek episode made in TOS or any later series in that in encapsulates exactly what 'Star Trek' was about - contact with alien races - crisis - and people working ogether (and not always perfectly) to work through it and come out on top.

For me, it is "The Man Trap". Great ensemble work, sets, creepy vibe, and Kirk has bellyache and McCoy is thinking with his glands. I could watch it over and over again.

This.

It's Tribbles. That scene where Scotty decks the guy in the bar is priceless!

Amok Time. It remains a favorite from the old days when I watched the series on a small black and white TV set my father would set up for me every weeknight at 7pm.
