If Dukat and Kai Winn had an offspring?

On Trek, anything is possible with enough creativity and technobabble.

Not everything. Trifles such as reversing death or inhabiting another entity's body, or crossing over to a parallel reality, sure. But the universe can't make Kirk admit defeat, or make Janeway look non-smug, for example.

In Voyager they even managed to fuse two characters into one. That was original. I mean we've had characters split in two but not the reverse.

Who's to say whether Bajorans even have the menopause, they may go on reproducing for decades.
.
Or maybe Bajorans have a very low reproduction rate. It would be an interesting theory for why despite their advanced culture they never spread outside Bajor. They might just have a naturally small population

I think they're too dependant on religion. Remember that Kira dumped Shakar because "the prophets told her to". The Pah Wraith cultists had to ask permission to reproduce. Chances are the same goes for the prophets.

Too dependent, seen from whom' s perspective, exactly? Yours? Star Trek's? The Federation's? The Cardassian's? For their own good?

(I don't mean this in a belligerent way, just that I'm curious as to the exact perspective you're taking here).

If Winn and Dukat had a child they'd be ruling the galaxy by the time of Picard. You can't put all that evil genius in one package and not have them be an over achiever.

I don't know, sometimes children intentionally become underachievers just to spite their parents.

Well, she also has the Xindi thingies on the side of her face.

Yeah, but unlike this clear image of Degra from Star Trek: Enterprise, Madam President here has a clear spoon on her forehead, pointing out likely Cardassian ancestry. Since Disco Season 3 showed us some Cardassian-looking Cardassians, this isn't a weird redesign either. Maybe she's half-Xindi-(Primate), half-Cardassian, although that's a deep cut even for Discovery. I don't expect any Xindi to show up outside of Lower Decks.

Not necessarily. I had a father with borderline personality disorder and narcissism and my mother is terribly passive aggressive. I made an active choice as a child to be the absolute polar opposite of both of them.

Yup. Children just need an example of what else they can do beside what their parents do. If that behavior is reinforced then it will make the difference in that resolve.

Somehow, I don't think Adami Dukat would rebel against her parents by traveling 800 years in the future and becoming Federation President. That'll show 'em.
