IDW winding down Trek?

At the time, John Ordover said online that he would look into novelizing the conclusion of Early Voyages. Sadly, nothing ever came of it.

My favourite series have been Starfleet Academy and Early Voyages. I enjoyed the ongoing storylines with new characters, I wish they would be carried on in some manner.

It would be neat to run into Captain Astrun too. IIRC, the flashforward at the end was about 17 years into the future (based on Fatima just starting at the academy), but we don't know when cheese-boy became a captain.

Heck, it could have been a year before graduation.
