Wouldnt a time loop, by definition hold no reprecussions for actions taken while trapped within it?

Unless time was passing by them in the "real world." Then the only repercussion would be that they need to change their calendars and clocks ahead.

I can see McKay tinkering with the designs he got from his dead self from the alternate universes taking it and making it into a time machine.

You temporarily move to another universe, but back in time at the same time and then jump back to your own universe without the time differential.

I could see something like that screw with time creating a loop, especially if it was using that subspace capacitor.

I think that is how the portals in the game "Portal" are supposed to work, well something like that.

Supernatural just recently did this too. I feel like another show recently did this too. It's a sci-fi staple. Surprising thing is Doctor Who hasn't done this and it's a sci-fi show about time.
