Regarding DS9... Ezri Dax is a primary character in the Destiny trilogy, but the main DS9 narrative is still lagging behind the other series by about four years of story time. A forthcoming novel, The Rough Beasts of Empire, will catch things up; but that won't be until late next year.

I'd note that Dax isn't the only DS9:R character that gets serious exposure in Destiny... several characters from DS9 also appear in connection with her... see below...

Spoiler: DS9:R characters in Destiny

Sam Bowers is Dax's first officer on Aventine, Mikaela Leishman is her chief engineer, and Simon Tarses is her CMO... there might be others, but those spring quicky to mind. Early on in the trilogy, Bowers mentions that there was a bit of tension between older Aventine crewmembers and Dax's "imports" from her time on DS9 since she rose from Second Officer to CO in one battle, but that doesn't last long
