I thought You had to be at LEAST a US Native..

Y'know, this does beg the question of just where Spock was born, Vulcan or Earth. The Vulcan Science Academy certainly played a large part in getting Spock to survive gestation, (check out the "interview" with Sarek on the 1976 album "Inside Star Trek" for details) but who's to say the final stages weren't accomplished at the Vulcan compound in San Francisco?

If we assume the scenes from Spock's birth Sybok shows Kirk, MCCoy and Spock in ST V were accurate I would say he was born on Vulcan.

Spock ran in 2000 and 2004 as well. I don't expect him to have any better luck this election.

The film Star Trek V shows Spock being born in what looks like a tradition-based birthing place...possibly a cave. (Not surprising. Tuvok's special training also took place in a cave. The Vulcans seem to cling to the rustic in the extreme.) The midwife was also Vulcan. I'm guessing Spock was born on Vulcan.

Hell, I remember slapping a "Spock for President" sticker on my mom's car in '76.

She wasn't amused...
Wouldn't that have been '72?

Nope, I was in junior high when I did it, and in '72 I was still in grade school.

Besides, those bumper stickers were perennials. Spock was like a Vulcan Pat Paulson, he was always running.

There were "Spock For President" bumper stickers back in 1968.
There were, indeed, and they came back around every four years for quite a while. My allusion to '72 was a reference to the year when there actually was a Spock on the presidential ballot. (It probably would have gone better for Benjamin if he had been a Vulcan.)

Mine wasn't either... gosh, I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that. The first time mom got interested enough to vote at all, she voted for Bill Clinton. Now, she votes in every election. :vulcan:

KIRK / SPOCK '08

They whipped the giant coffee can probe vaporizing our oceans...they'll whip the Federation tax code
