They clearly didn't dive as deep into medical tech talk as the science/engineering people did, & I would've by far liked them to have more medical knowledge base in their sci-fi. Heck, I'd be riveted by a whole Star Trek Medical ship like the Pasteur kind of show

And while we're on the subject of unethical counselors, was it really appropriate for Ezri Dax to... fraternize with Worf? Not only as a counselor, but as the carrier or the Dax symbiote AND all that Trill taboo about past lovers?

Two things about that: 1) Fraternization is allowed in Starfleet, as long as everyone involved consents; and 2) apparently the rule about reassociation only applies when both are Trill. So it doesn't apply to Dax and Worf.

I highly doubt that Worf would ever be subject to Trill law like this. They don't have any jurisdiction over him.

Especially since the concept of reassociation (and the prohibition against same) was created to prevent Trill society from becoming an "aristocracy of the joined". If one of the participants isn't Trill, this kinda becomes irrelevant...

IIRC, Ezri and Worf were in an isolated environment at the time. No one, surely not the Trill government, would ever know. Who's going to tell them? Ezri sure wouldn't.

Ezri having a heat of the moment thing isn't what she did wrong(according to Trill suchnsuch) Taking a posting on DS9 with all Jadzia's old friends was what she wasn't supposed to do. The goal of symbiosis is to not continue the old host's life. There's a conflict of interest. And for Doctors sleeping with patients, that is also a conflict of interest and not quite fraternization. It's the spirit of the law, not the letter, that determines what is ethical.

I mean did anyone in Starfleet ever even verify Crusher's credentials? I know she got to be head of "Starfleet Medical" but is she even a doctor?!!!
