I take the Bar in just over a week

Yeah, I'm freaking out. Actually hyperventilated yesterday.

I can't seem to remember anything! Say "contracts" and nothing comes to mind.

I should be better at this.

One more week of study. Hubby's taking me to Sacramento for it and staying to help keep me calm. Then he's buying me a Nintendo DS.

Between my memory and my blood pressure, it'll be something if I'm alive and breathing next Thursday night!

Good luck! You can do it. Don't overstudy and get a good night's sleep.

Now give me the facts and holding of Pierson v. Post.

Crikey! Busy time for you and hubby (just read your other thread about the subpoena) - Good luck with the exams. If you've got this far then you've definitely got the smarts :)

Just don't forget to breathe.

Good luck, trust in what you've learned and then just do it. And turn your hubby in a complete slave for a week :D

Good luck propita :) Im sure you will do well, but it is natural to freak out a little

Wait a second, a pharmacist, and a soon to be lawyer?

YOU RICH BASTARDS!!!! :klingon::klingon::klingon:

Oh, but the Nintendo DS rocks, enjoy!

Sounds like the week before I sat for the PE or my wife before she took her PhD qualifiers. At this point, you're as ready as you will be. Just go in, do your best, and hope you get the results you want.

If you end up failing, at least let it be from your best effort, rather than a lack of proper prep or other excuses.

Thanks to everyone. Today was a meltdown. Hubby just about lost his last bit of patience with me, but got past that. I am very lucky to have him.

The test is three parts: questions (mbe), essays (read a hypo, figure out the issues, remember the law for the issues, then apply the facts to the law), and performance tests (pt). The essays--well, my memory for anything but trivia really sucks. The pt's really should be my best, but I panic, freak, and can't figure out how to follow what are actually fairly clear directions.

I think one problem I've been having is that I've been trying to do things as the bar prep class says, down the line. That's not what got me through school. So I think (and Hubby agrees) that I should approach the problems MY way, but make it look like their way (cause they want uniformity in appearance for easier grading).

Instead of outlining the pt, just jump in like I prefer. The outlining idea has spooked me to the problem I noted above. I outline, in my way--which is more general but fine. We had a class and our final was one of these tests (former Bar pt)--I got an 88. Only need 65 for the Bar. So, I know I can do it--but the approach has to be my way.

Thanks, but we're still paying Hubby's student loans--he graduated in 2000! He figures that since we're getting no interest on savings, we might as well pay down a 6% education loan in big chunks (while keeping some savings).

As for the DS, I just want it for the thinking games. My classmates thought I was bad enough for liking sudoku, but when they saw I liked ken-ken (sudoku with math), they really thought I was nuts.

Thanks for putting up with me, all! I have been so losing it.

From one law student to another, good luck!

Just remember, it's not malpractice if you mess up on the rule against perpetuities. (There's an actual case that says that, but I can't remember the citation.)

Pita, I have every confidence in your knowledge and ability. The only advice I can offer is study your buns off until 24 hours before the exam then put all the books away. Go see a movie, spend some time in a pool, have two glasses of wine (no more), take two Tylenol PM at 8:00 PM and sleep like the dead until the morning of the test. Follow my advice and the Supreme Court will be calling for advice.

Strangely enough, I'm actually decent at that!

In Real Property class, I couldn't understand it 2 days before the test...the day before the test. I got 31 out of 33 points on RAP on that test!

The Sho-Rin, it's always good to hear from you. Has your hair grown back yet? You need to post a pic.
