I saw this and was devistated for a moment

Then reality hit me of course but for a second there.......
 
I once saw a headline along the lines of "SF group to buy skyscraper."

I took me a moment to realize "SF" stood for "San Francisco," not "Science Fiction."
 
In all fairness, to be chief science officer of the Enterprise, one would think he'd hold at least a PhD...

Later on, strapped for cash, he sold the universe to some bad robot guys. Don't tell her he's not a doctor or a lawyer or you'll be out on the street.
 
She knew better. She was probably rubbing it in. I hope the warning was well recieved. Write a Leverage or House novel.

I seem to remember way back in the 60s Spock was arrested...

My girlfriend's mother referred to a certain pointy-earred science officer as "Dr. Spock" just a few days ago . . . .

I didn't know people still say that.

Alas, they do. Even PBS screwed up last year, when they ran a documentary on the early days of TV science fiction. The website promoting the documentary cited Nimoy's character as "Dr. Spock."
