My girlfriend started getting movies at the library and they have a large selection. I was there and picked out an A&E DVD documentary on hauntings. The show looked a little old. There was this historian lady that I've seen elsewhere that looked substantially younger. The show was narrated by the guy that played Jack Marshak on Friday the 13th the series. So it was divided into 3 different sections, one being the Myrtles Plantation. I'm sure you've seen it in a movie at some point (like Interview with the Vampire).
During the Myrtles segment they told the story of a slave woman that was having sex with the master. When the master got tired of her, he basically cast her aside for a new slave girl. The slave girl wanted to get back in good with the master so she poisoned the wife and two children thinking that she would cure them with her knowledge of herbs and other plants. Unfortunately they died. The girl ran away, but was eventually hung and supposedly haunts the house. The girl was played by Teyla from Stargate(I can't remember her name right now, but my girlfriend about freaked out when she saw the name-Luttrel or something). I didn't recognize her during the show, but when I turned it back on for a second the credits came up and that is when she saw the name. After she said it I recognized her immediately.
