I ordered the Daria dvds

And they're on their way!

Unfortunately, I can't take the time to watch them until August, when I'm done with the Bar. As it is, I gotta go back to studying.

Me too! It's taken forever for Daria to finally get a DVD release, so I'm anxiously awaiting the set. Apparently it sold far beyond MTV's initial expectations!

One of the very, very few TV shows that I owned on VHS.

Remember how expensive it was to buy TV shows on tape back then? Well, Daria was one that was worth it.

I was surprised to discover that my DVDs arrived when I came home last night.

So far, impressions are good. The episodes look fantastic and there are some funny extras, such as "Daria Day" episode introductions.

As some may know, there has been a large issue with the soundtrack, which sadly could not be licensed for the DVD release. At some times this is jarring, but for the most part, the replacement music fits well, and really captures the mood of the 90s rock/pop that played throughout the original broadcast. It shows MTV have at least made an effort in making up for the problem.

I'm so looking forward to watching the entire show again.

I saw the set at Best Buy the other day, and I would have bought them if I hadn't already been spending a lot of money on other things. Maybe next week.
