I Need Some Dating Advice

I feel for you. It's hard to get past something like that. You really just have to force yourself, even though it's uncomfortable. Maybe you will be disappointed... but maybe it will work out really well.

Suppose putting up a wall of excuses IS easier than actually having to do anything. Dumb, but easier.

I mean, what could happen? You're wrong, and she says yes, or you're right, and she says no. Isn't worst case exactly what you're already settling for, except you get to pat yourself on the back for having the balls to try?

You've chosen the course of action that's slightly worse than getting rejected, and told yourself you played it safe.

Well, I sent her a text today asking if she wanted to meet for coffee or something similar. Just have to wait to see what happens.

I can write with my other hand. It takes longer, it's awkward, I'm not as comfortable with it, it's messier, and it's somewhat ugly. But you know? It gets the job done. You don't have to be perfect at a skill to accomplish a task.
