And here we go again!
The Kes Website is gone and Freenom seems to have crashed.
I was trying to access the site yesterday due to some minor changes I've made but I can't access it. It simply has vanished!
I did access the Freenom site where I have my domain and I managed to send them a message. However, no reply so far.
When I do some search on the net it's obvious that Freenom seem to have had a lot of problems in reecent years, I've read reports about lawsuits and such since 2023. The curious thing is that I actually did access the site about six weeks ago for a minor correction so it must have existed up until then. Up till now, I've had no indications that this company would cease to exist.
A lot of the information I get about Freenom now are conflicting and confusing.
What will happen to my domain and what will happen to the site?
The sad thing is that if the site is gone, I will lose a lot of money since I've paid for the domain until 2029. Is it possible for me to have my money back?
If Freenom is gone, then I have to start looking for a new home for the site site AGAIN. I've had these sorts of problems before with websites and such, the latest was in 2014 when I had to move the Kes Website.
Freenom has worked fine since then and I did have some hopes that the problems were gone. But of couse not, something just have to be messed up again.
So what can I do now? Where can I get a new domain for the site to a decent cost?
