okay, its a forum. we agree to disagree.
I came late to LOTR (didn’t read the books till after I’d seen all three movies, as they came out) but my kids grew up on it. There’s a special magic to the good stuff you first got into as a kid. My husband saw the Star Wars movies in the theater, but I came along a little too late for that. I remember being excited for TNG every week, though. And I watched TOS in syndication, which may be why I can never get the episode order quite straight in my head.I'm Star Wars and Star Trek. My wife is all in on Lord of the Rings.

Perhaps the one thing everyone can agree on is that her character needs more development/attention from the writers.Spock and Her are the same rank, he may have seniority, and be the 3rd officer ( Una, La'an before him) but honestly, even if he was a rank ahead, I would have no problem with her comment to Spock, because she was upset at not being on the landing party, and Spock was being a bit insensitive, she didn't say it out of malice or insubordinate tone, it was just a "stop talking, leave me alone" comment.
But they do need to find her a voice, 1 and almost a half seasons and she's still the least developed character. We know a few things, but not much at all, a bit snarky, likes to play jokes, great pilot. All a great start.
As for her looks, i'm not one to judge others based on there looks, mines pretty shabby, and the style of an ardvark.. i have no legs to stand on..
I came to LOTR later, and my wife later than that but she dove all in and writes a multi-part fan fiction based on the Hobbit. It's quite long.I came late to LOTR (didn’t read the books till after I’d seen all three movies, as they came out) but my kids grew up on it. As established, they are equals. And nothing like Boma.Reminiscent of Boma in TOS I think in lack of respect to Spock. Also, A Quality of Mercy did imply a darker future where she goes full on speciest. It's interesting to see if that was a one time thing or something the writers will follow up on
Now that is passion and dedication.I came to LOTR later, and my wife later than that but she dove all in and writes a multi-part fan fiction based on the Hobbit. It's quite long.
I watched TOS on VHS so I didn't quite get the order either but used the Concordance to help out.
Sure, that's what will call it...Now that is passion and dedication.

You're so wrong!Wait! Wait.! Wait!
I thought Strarfleet wasn't a military?![]()
Yes, if that was supposed to be the “Ortegas episode” she got seriously short-changed.I can agree with that. I was looking forward to an Ortegas spotlight in Lotus Eaters, but the most we learned is that she flies the ship. Which we knew.
@All For whatever it’s worth as well, let me put my hand up and say (as a straight male) that I find the haircut attractive. Very much so.
@valkyrie013 What is ‘aardvark style’?
Yes, if that was supposed to be the “Ortegas episode” she got seriously short-changed.
Pike said he'd catch her next time, and we know there is going to be an episode where she flies the shuttle, with the free-fall engine start. That's probably her episode.
Only on alternate Tuesdays.Wait! Wait.! Wait!
I thought Strarfleet wasn't a military?

If I never see another woman sewn into a catsuit again it will be too soon. For Pike.
That's it.
Good.
Dear lord there is more to life than sex appeal. I hate that so damn much.
Seven was a great character and they degraded her into an object of lust and subjected the franchise to ridicule with that.If I never see another woman sewn into a catsuit again it will be too soon.
