I think you have the order backward. And it was so ridiculed that they felt it was worth trying it again three years later.Seven was a great character and they degraded her into an object of lust and subjected the franchise to ridicule with that.

Funny, I phrased my original comment in that order (They did her dirty; Seven was a great character), and then changed it before posting because it made more sense to identify who I was talking about before I commented on how they dressed her.I think you have the order backward. Yes, if that was supposed to be the “Ortegas episode” she got seriously short-changed.
Pike said he'd catch her next time, and we know there is going to be an episode where she flies the shuttle, with the free-fall engine start. That's probably her episode.

Couldn't stick with DIS, but mullets are the most awesome hairstyle in existence. I resent being bald on top because it means I can't wear a mullet.I don't really care for Ortegas's hair, but it doesn't affect my opinion about her. It's not like Gray's mullet.
Indeed and it's frustrating because it gets repeated from time to time, and then there are the comments of "Oh, we need more attractive people in Star Trek." Which is a problem going back the length of the franchise and then some, but aggravating none the less. And yes, I'll confess to ignoring Seven a lot because I felt she was just an object of lust, and marketed that way and didn't appreciate her character journey as such. It's distracting.Seven was a great character and they degraded her into an object of lust and subjected the franchise to ridicule with that.
Indeed. She came, she saw, she acted the hell outta that role. I need a salute emoji.Seven was a character they degraded thus, and she still managed to be one of VOY's best features. That's what you call overcoming an obstacle.

Jeri got nominated for an HCA award this week for her work on Picard. Probably will all be overshadowed if the actors strike tonight though (not that the strike is a bad thing, the studios aren't treating SAG fairly).Indeed. It's tough and you don't get editing privileges for about 14 days or so many posts (can't recall exacts. Someone will correct me when I misspeak).*and her character is quite wide.
<sigh> I probably shouldn’t be using the iPhone to post in here.
Now I need to look and see if she won anything for VOY. If not, she’s owed an apology for more than just the catsuit and stilettos.Jeri got nominated for an HCA award this week for her work on Picard. you can still rock a skullet, lolCouldn't stick with DIS, but mullets are the most awesome hairstyle in existence. I resent being bald on top because it means I can't wear a mullet.
