I liked Abrams' Trek better than...*

Delicatessen, City of the Lost Children, Amelie and A Very Long Engagement... crap. :vulcan: Dong ma?
You know, as far as logic games go, I'm Captain Kirk, and you're the computer stuck in a recursive loop that will inevitably result in sparks and an explosion.

Also: I'd like to see that in the sequel. Well, at least a scene where Kirk reasons with a computer/god-thing. This movie referenced a whole lot of Trek cliches but we never got to that one.

Having an abscessed tooth that hurts more than every migraine, grumbling appendix and ball-kicking you've had in your life combined, localised to your entire head. Oh, and Voyager.

pizza. And i love pizza. I could eat pizza every single day. THATS how much i love STXI!

Oh, pizza is a tough one!
What she said!

Eh-eh. Pizza rules. I like (good) pizza better. The only stuff I like better than pizza is The Doomsday Machine, The Undiscovered Country, & Serenity. That's it.
Without pizza, life itself would be impossible.:techman:

ETA: I'm having pizza tonight, and making it myself. :)

Chris, What time should i be there?
Dang it! I miss all the fun.:(
I have never made good homemade pizza, and I am known to be a good cook! Next time I'll come early so I can learn from a master.

Though I enjoyed it, I can't say it was better than anything listed in the OP. Though I might be able to agree with Gone With The Wind, I thought that movie was a complete snoozefest. Then again I was born into a time when soap operas weren't so new and exciting.

But as much as I loved the original trilogy, I think the prequels were worse than dog shit. They really lacked any heart and the actors seemed to be there merely to get us from one special effects shot to the next.

AMEN!!!

Now...myself, well...let's put it this way:

When I watched Pirates of the Carribbean 3 in theaters, I walked out feelin' dizzy, it was so overwhelming.

When I watched The Dark Knight in theaters, I went out even MORE dizzy. Most thrilling film I'd seen in a LONG time!

And THEN...I saw Abrams's Trek.

I was so overwhelmed at it's awesomeness, I walked out that theater with a freakin' HEADACHE!

I like it better than almost all other movies I've seen. It is easily in my top 5, and probably in my top 3, behind Gran Torino and maybe Star Trek VI.

OTOH, there is no version of Trek that I like as much as Casablanca.

^ What about after Brett Ratner remakes Casablanca with Ashton Kutcher and Kristin Kreuk? :p

I thought Casablanca was boring last time I watched it at my American Studies class, but maybe I just can't stand Ingrid Bergman..... and I absolutely hated PotC 3. What a pile of rubbish.

Better than roughly 60% of TOS, 60% of TNG, 90% of DS9, all of VGR and ENT, and all of the Trek films except TMP.

I just have to state for the record that though I really did enjoy Star Trek, to me it doesn't even compare to any of the Star Wars films, except for maybe The Ewok Adventures. That's probably why I'm currently very much enjoying my Clone Wars Blu-ray and waiting for Trek to come to cable; At which time I'll probably watch it enough times to give The Dark Knight a run for it's money.
