I Just Got High Speed Internet!

I can finally actually watch VIDEOS on the internet!
Be very, VERY careful. There are things that you will find on the internet that you will never be able to unsee, not even if you dig out your own eyes. For example, if somebody links you to a video titled "2 girls 1 cup", close your browser, shut down your computer and leave it off for at least two hours just to be safe. The internet is a wondrous place with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and really, really gross. But it's not for the timid.

And if somebody links you to something that seems really awesome, don't be surprised if you end up seeing Rick Astley singing about how he's never going to give you up.

I don't remember ever seeing someone use dial-up internet before, I do remember someone telling me that you couldn't use your phone with it.
I feel old. :( And I'm only 24.

Did you ever see that episode of The Simpsons where the Comic Book Guy is trying to look at naked pictures of Janeway online? It was exactly like that.

Let's give him links to all the famous youtube videos, and then send him the link to that South Park episode where Butters makes a youtube video.

"I said what what, in the butt."

That's how I found out about the original Samwell video was by watching that episode.

How do I embed a Youtube video, I could never figure out how.

I just took a look at my month old laptop. It doesn't even HAVE a phone jack. I couldn't use dial-up if I wanted to.

My laptop that I bought last November... I see an ethernet jack... There might be a phone jack next to the power button.

Are you aware that more Americans are on dial-up than high speed broadband or DSL :vulcan:

South Americans?

Yeah. It's called the Americans south of Canada and North of Mexico.
Except not.

A whopping 62 percent of users surveyed reported getting to cyberspace via high-speed connection, while 34 percent said they still used analog modems — and many said they liked it that way.

And that was 4 years ago.

Hell, my year old laptop doesn't have a phone jack.
Ditto. Just ethernet.
