I forgot how much Tattoos HURT!!

Lookingglassman

Back in 2001 I had a tattoo done that I eventually came not to like. Well yesterday I went to have it covered up by a nicer tattoo of my beloved M1A1 Abrams tanks. The tattoo artist did a great job, but it hurt like HECK!!! The whole four hours I was sitting in that chair was pure torture.

I kept saying to myself, "Lookingglassman, you have got to be the dumbest person alive." It hurt and I had forgotten how bad the hurt.

Too make matters worse he didn't get a chance to complete it so I have to go back in a week for him to finish it.

I'll never get another tattoo once this one is done.

Well either way of removing the tattoo Laser or another tattoo would still hurt.
while I have a moderate tolarence for pain I will never get a tattoo because I am not that good at picking something that looks good out.
Sry you got hurt man. Feel better.
There is a cream out there for Dry skin. Eczema cream. Called AquaFor. Put that on and it should help the healing process.

It depends where you get them. One of mine didn't hurt at all, but one...oh boy...

Skin hasn't the same sensitivity all over your body.

I have one on the inside of my forearm and rather thought it "hurt so good" just enough to get the endorphins flowing but not enough to actually be bothered by it. It is a controlled pain, I could ask him to stop at any time and in so knowing that it seemed kind of zen or something.

Its kinda like being afraid of heights but being able to climb the tallest tree. Its in your control. Your body likes that, control.

I am still pondering getting a tattoo. I've had a design in mind for a couple of years, but I can't seem to make up my mind about the location - either just under my clavicle or on the inside of my ankle.

That said: pictures !

^ just remember the rules for tattoo are they aren't anybody's name in a visible area. No tramp stamp.
Becuase I know people who have that, names of people they though they would be with forever, but no.

Don't worry, it's not a name, and I'm not getting something done on or just above my ass!

I have one on each shoulder they were more irritating when being done that anything, in fact I fell asleep when the first one was done.
but I've heard if they are done over bone they hurt a bit more.

Thanks for the advice on that cream. I am going to check it out. It is on my top left forearm and it hurt worse the closer he got to where my arm bends.

The original tattoo was of the Enterprise E laid over the Federation Symbol with "Boldly Go" Written around it, but it was a crappy job and I got sick of people asking me what it was and looking at me like I was some nut so I decided to get it redone with a tank. This tattoo artist has done an excellent job. Even though it is not complete, it still looks real nice.

Np. its called Aquaphor

Small container, blue cover. Just ask for Ezcema cream/gel and just look for the title.
Its bascially grease, but it does wonders. My hands get severly cracked and even bleed during ewinter becuase of my Ezcema, Aquaphor fixes the problem over night and my hands are back to normal.

Where do they sell it? At Walgreens? I would love to check that stuff out. I have a rash I get every summer that I picked up from Iraq and it is horrible and nothing seems to be able to soothe it. I am going to try some of this stuff out on it.

I don't know where exactly my mother got it. But since it over the counter. I believe you could get it at walmart. I would try walgreens as well.

I will look at websites and tell you where you can get it since I know what it looks like.

Yes you can find it all walmart. Blue cap. If you apply to your hands , get some doctor gloves and put them on after you apply it to your hands. fall asleep and next morning take them off. White flacks are normal. just wash your hands and you should be A okay.
