I finally got a white hair

Two actually.

One in each eyebrow. Which makes them easily removable when I get my eyebrows done, since they'd be removed even if they weren't white.

I'm 46, so that's not too bad. I think I have more hairs that appear to be "clear," as in, pull one, lay it against something printed, and you can read through the hair.

I'm melanin-challenged. No tan. Can't get a tan. Three layers of tan-in-a-bottle doesn't have a visible effect. I figure, if one wouldn't tell a black person to lighten his/her skin, I don't need to darken mine.

I started seeing them in my mid-20s. They don't bother me. I figure I've earned them. I would like to eventually go ALL gray, but judging by my parents & grandparents, I'll either be salt-n-pepper or bald, so I think I can handle the salt sprinkles when faced with the alternative.

^Sounds nice! I like a bit of grey hair on a man. I think I'll be lucky, my dad's been going grey for years, but because of his hair color its very subtle and just gives the brown a sort of metallic sheen. My hair is the same color as his.

I started getting mine around 17. I'm 31 now, and I have a lot of them, especially on the temples and a grey streak from the centre of my forehead. Not evident as All Good Things's Data, but it's there.

My temples started going gray in my late teens, now sprinkled throughout my hair.

But the biggest shock was my beard going gray, at 28

Grey is particularly noticeable on me due to my very dark hair colour. I first noticed my first grey hair when I was 10 during a haircut, and I would have about one every 3 months. Flash forwards 20 years and I now seem to pick up about 3 or 4 every now and then. Very soon you'll all have to start calling me Magneto. [Or Phillip Schofield - someone]

I found my first gray hair a little over a year ago; I immediately plucked it out. I'm not sure if that was the best thing to do, but that was my first instinct. Since then, I've found a few more scattered throughout my head... mostly, I just try to ignore them now (unless I think they're overly noticeable, in which case I'll try to cut them off).

I wouldn't mind going gray eventually, but in good time. I'm only in my mid-20s (and probably look like I'm in my early 20s), so the idea of gray hairs doesn't exactly thrill me right now.

Let me get this straight: You don't want the 2 white hairs in your eyebrows but you're not going to pluck them out yourself. You're going to wait until someone else "does" them?

I'm 17 and have a few gray hairs scattered throughout my head. No big deal to me. My dad's been salt and peppered for about 9 years now, and he's 43, so when my time comes, hopefully I don't go all the way gray.
