I feel the need, the need for a sequel!

Sorry, it's all I've got... I'm laughing on several different levels.

(see what I did there?)

But I'd probably watch it anyway!

That would suck so hard, it would create a tear in the space-time continuum.

And, no, I wouldn't go see it.

I dunno... if they can make it as hilariously homoerotic as the first one, we might be in for a real treat.

My knowledge of the US Navy is based purely on the one and only episode of JAG I ever watched, but that had female pilots aboard an aircraft carrier.

They should get Jessica Biel for the cocky female pilot. Put her in a bikini and I'd watch it.

2 Top 2 Gun
Top Gun II: Electric Boogaloo
Top Gun II: The Wrath of Xenu

Either way, this movie has a very, very low possibility of being any good.

With the loss of the original sets in the Universal Studios fire a while back and the fact it would be pretty difficult for them to get to film on any aircraft carrier at the moment, just filming the thing would be a struggle.

But seriously?

I predict this will make twice the money that the first did.

Why, you may ignorantly ask?

Look at the world today - it's a dull dreary place. Back in the '80s when this legendary flick came out, it inspired people with its top notch action, incredible acting and kick ass shirtless beach volleyball. The world was a better place back then, not the miserable, boring cesspool it is today. This sequel - as long as Tom Cruise is attached to it - will not only break all sorts of box office records, it will make the world a better place.

So DarkHelmet, we going on a double date or what? Actually fuck it, let's not bring the women.

As long as they have a women's volleyball game to counter the first one, it'll be gold! The female lead should be an unknown actor like Tom Cruise was in '86. That's why he was so believable in the movie. Perhaps Cruise could play the Tom Skiritt character, or the Micheal Ironside character? I've been dying for another one since the last one came out. Wasn't there supposed to be a sequel in '88, or '89 with unused flight footage, but thankfully was scrapped? Also, who's been on the roller coaster?
