I don't know what it is...

Liking someone who is transsexed doesn't make him gay, it doesn't make anyone gay, and even if it did, why would that be a problem? You say it like it's an insult.

On top of that, the person in question has female attributes and Trekker finds that attractive, and so do I for that matter.

J.

If Trekker is attracted to a man who wants to be a woman, he is actually attracted to a man. It may not make him gay but it certainly throws his hat in the ring.

Well here's the thing, he's not attracted to a man who want's to be a women.

If I am mistaken I'll gladly apologize but is this person not a man who decided he wished to be a woman?

You know that men don't just "decide they want to be a woman" but gender dysphoria is a life-long biological contradiction between how a person's brain is wired -how they feel- and what their body physicaly is.

People with GID go through years our counseling before the first scalpel is laid on their body.

It's not just, "Gee I want to be woman." and then you go and get it done.

As for sexual preference, I think it's pretty clear from my posts during my tenure here that I am straight. The girl in those videos, well, looks like a girl.

It's not like I'm here lusting after a deep-voiced dude with stubble and a buzz-cut.

She looks like a girl, acts like a girl and she has a quality about her I like.

:)

He was born a man. He will be a man until the day he shuffles off, no matter how much he wishes to be a woman. But whatever floats your boat is fine with me, bud.

^She looks like a woman, acts like a woman, has breasts, a clitoris, and a vagina -- the only thing missing is the uterus (which not all XX women have anyway -- some are born without, some have histerectomies -- sp?).

Take a minute and think about how we define gender. First, there is the genetic factor: females have XX chromosomes and males have XY. Most of the time. Some females have Androgen Insensitivity. These individuals have XY chromosomes, but because they are insensitive to male hormones, they develop the physical characteristics of women. They have breasts, a clitoris, a vagina, they look and act like women, despite their XY chromosomes. This sounds a lot like this woman -- she looks and acts like a woman, has breasts, a clitoris, and a vagina, she is a woman despite her XY chromosomes. Some people don't have either XX or XY chromosomes, but combinations such as single X, XXX, XYY, and so on. When determining the gender of these individuals one cannot rely on genetics, but on how the individual looks. This leads us to our next criteria:

Another way we define gender is by physical appearance. This woman clearly meets all the qualities of being female. Some people don't have such distinct sexual organs, their genitalia may appear to be a mix of both female and male. Clitorises can be large enough to look like small penises, and vise versa. Some people have partial genitalia of each sex, and more rarely have complete genitalia for both sexes. When determining the gender of these individuals we rely on their Gender Identity, that is, how they feel. Do they feel like a boy or a girl. That leads us to our next criteria:

Gender Identity is the psychological aspect of sex (and remember, the brain is part of the body, the psychological is equally the physiological). Most of us our born with Gender Identities that match our physical appearance (note, that women with androgen insensitivity, who are genetically male, tend to have female Gender Identities). Sometimes, though, they don't match. That was the case for this woman -- she was always a she, but had the physical characteristics of a he. Now that she has the physical characteristics of a she, her Gender Identity and her body match. She's a woman.

If you want scientific references I can provide them (I did a paper on this subject in school). You can also look them up yourself, with Google search terms such as "intersexed," "hermaphoditism," "Gender Identity," and so on. I'd encourage you to do some reading, education enlightens and opens the mind.
