...stop...please stop...with the "nu".

"Nu" anything. Just stop. It's so...I don't know what it is. But there's just something about it, I hate looking at it, seeing it or reading it.

It's so...pretentious and self important and aggrandizing in...some way.

I can't put my finger on it.

I hated it with "nuBSG", but since I was always behind on the episodes, I was never in the forum and rarely had to deal with it.

Please, for my sanity...just stop.

It's so...lame.

Does "nu" actually stand for something, or is it just a trendy way of writing the word "new"?

So how would you like us to refer to uh........ the new Star TreK?
TNST?
Interesting question; when the new movies come out, they will also be nu. Something else needs doing on the acronym front.

This one was simply called Star Trek. It was also a reboot. It's also an alternate reality. All is nu (sorry). The next one will just be Star Trek 2, or Star Trek: Whatever Subtitle They Want.

Just call it "Star Trek." Any half bred monkey retard will be able to tell if you're referring to the entire franchise, or this film. We already refer to the original series as TOS, the '79 movie is called The Motion Picture, which is often abbreviated to TMP. Why do we have to refer to it any differently than what it's called?

It is a trendy way to write new, and by trendy I mean "like, totally awesome bubblegum and some junk" trendy.

Everyone knew the hardcore would be upset. They get upset everytime something new comes out. Or nu.

Are there enough hardcore to make a difference? Nu. Will they boycott the next movie? Nu.
