I Am Married

We seriously considered not having a "legal marriage." It is rather depressing to see the monopoly the state has attempted to gain on what is really a religious and social compact.

The state has a monopoly on legal marriage because the state makes the law. Your church does not. You are welcome to have only a religious marriage, of course, if you don't want the government sticking its nose in it.

She has no problem with me sharing generalities like "we both really want it" and "she wants me bad" and "yikes! She is a nympho!"
Really? She has no problem with you sharing that you can't fully satisfy her compulsive sexual desires? (Maybe you should find out what the word "nymphomaniac" actually means, before using it to describe your new bride.)

If it makes you feel any better, I have the full and legal authority to solemnize marriages. :)

You might want to hang out with some new fundamentalists. All the fundamentalists that I know celebrate sex within a marriage context.
But they don't glorify discussing your partner's sexual appetites on a publicly seen, international discussion forum. That takes it outside the "marriage context" and into whatever little game you're playing here.

Shame on you.

Oh, "solemnize", you don't want to know what I thought that said at first

Quite frankly, it causes others to lust. By bragging about one's sexual exploits, one creates a situation where the listener is now envisioning apostle's naked wife, and all the coital things she might be doing. That's making someone lust, so if by "new fundamentalists" he means "judgmental people who treat others harshly while giving their own faith mere lip service", then I can only say they're not new fundamentalists. They're the same ones who have been around for a hundred years or better.

Ah, "sodomize". Yes, it seems my reputation now precedes me.

At least i'm not the only one. ;)

I think this thread, by having My Little Ponies and Transformers, succeeds the original purpose of the thread itself, and creates a bubble of awesome and win.

Just my theory. :D

In a truly dreadful thread, seeing My Little Ponies is by far the worst thing.

Those who are berating me for sharing something in a private forum amuse me (not this forum, the forum Garak referenced).
You derive amusement from others pointing out that you are disrespecting your marriage and wife?

Further, my wife is proud that we were both virgins when married, and proud that we are making love. She has no problem with me sharing generalities like "we both really want it" and "she wants me bad" and "yikes! She is a nympho!"
Ahhh, so you have the Madonna and the whore. You've heard that expression, right?

And saying "she is a nympho" isn't a generality, you're specifically saying "my wife is a sex crazed maniac and we fuck a lot".

Even if she was ok with with it, which i doubt, why would you even go and say it? Apart from bragging to seek some stranger on the internet's approval, I'm not really seeing the point. Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should, espeically when you factor in important things like respect.

I think you have a lot to learn about marriage and the respect that should always be prevalent within it.

 That's hilarious!
