I am content, and it is boring

Close your eyes, put your finger on a random place on a world map, and then make plans to visit there as soon as you can.

Kor

That was going to be my suggestion, more or less: travel. Even very occasionally.

There's no downside. If you're as content as you think, you'll likely find both that the places you visit will bring you joy and that on return you'll find yourself even happier with the place you live now.

Traveling is awesome and I do it as often as I can. Always nice to see interesting places I've never been before.

What if his finger lands on Baltimore?

I live near Baltimore. Beautiful city; it's a favorite day trip. :)

Better luck next time.

It's called a joke Dennis. Not everything is serious

It's a nice ball park. The whole Inner Harbor has been a great thing.

There's a burger place called The Abbey down in that area that served alligator meat, among other things.

I'm curious - is there an artist in the current day who's regarded to be as influential or outstanding as Picasso?

Amtrak offers an American History travel package, or at least they used to. Stops in Boston, Philly, Baltimore, DC and maybe one or two more that I can't remember. I've been wanting to take the trip. I'd love to catch a game in each city and see the sites. The Northeast is the only part of the country I haven't spent much time in.

I've always wanted a train trip out west, crossing the Rockies, the Cascades and the Sierras. I've done the DC to Boston plenty of times, especially the one hour waits in NYC.

Don't worry, boy - there's no chance that I'll take you seriously.

I came to the Baltimore area to go to college. Have lived in the City since I graduated in 1972. I still love it, warts and all.

RoJoHen, I have nothing to add to all the good advice -- travel, volunteer, and enjoy the peace because you never know if/when it will come to an abrupt end.

It isn't unusual for introspection upon turning 30. You are still so young that you can make big changes in your life if you decide that you need to. You can take chances. I'm twice your age and in my 40s we moved from the Midwest to the East Coast. Quite the culture shock, but it wasn't boring. If you are feeling bored, you aren't really content. You're itchy. You need to find a way to scratch that itch. For me, it was taking jobs that helped people and volunteering at a food bank a few days a month. It's a good way to take your focus off yourself.

Seconded hobbies and volunteer work.

For the past few weeks, I've been volunteering at the local food pantry, as well as walking around town picking up trash. It feels great! In the past month, I've also taken up gardening. It feels really great to put a lot of effort into an act and then see the end result and know it's all because of you. Both of these activities give me time to think about life in general and make me feel like I'm part of something that's bigger than myself.

Do you have any pets? Caring for two cats makes me feel full of joy and simultaneously extremely frustrated! haha.
