Hustle: The Final Series

I like that they keep him around even though Vaughn clearly can't do much anymore :(

I like that he's still around, too. The show needs him. I miss his interaction with Stacie. They had a really good vibe going on. You say that he can't do much any more, and I thought that, too, but I was surprise how spry he still seemed on Corrie. (Speaking of Corrie, I just keep thinking the whole thing is a giant long con and he's going to end up selling the residents of the streeet their own cobbles back to them at some point!)

Well I haven't seen him on Corrie, but I imagine it's a lot of talking and not much running about!

Didn't care much for episode 5. Could have lived without the kid, and the guest star, whathisname, was pretty lousy in my opinion.

^^^This week, i ave been mostly getting scammed. lol

I enjoyed it, i even dug out the boxset and have started watching it from season one again........very good show.

We want to be togeather!

I thought he was ok, I'd agree the inlcusion of the kid was annoying, just made the gang seem incompetant!

Only one episode left!

Aside from the bent cop episode I've not loved this season as much as most of the others. However the finale looks brilliant - and the return of an old friend to boot!

As if this show could have anything other than a happy ending for all involved :D

I've not loved this series either, to be honest. There had damn well better be a happy ending. None of this "hopeful" rubbish (which we all know is a sad ending dressed up as a happy ending!)

And did anyone watch the finale?

I stopped watching the current series in episode two, as I have seen it all before and frankly, Leverage gives me more pleasure somehow nowadays, though I really enjoyed the first couple of series of Hustle, even when Mickey was not there.

I liked the finale, even though one could smell the end a mile away. And I burst into laughter, when one old friend showed up in the first half. I liked, even though it looked like a sheep shot.
And as soon as they talked about the other old friend, it was clear who the shooter was.
Anyway, I liked the end, even if it came around a bit preachy, reminded me of Moonlighting a bit, for breaking the fourth wall a bit further than they usually do.

Guess, that's it. Kudos to Kudos.

I really enjoyed, and what a great ending to a fantastic show with the entire cast back at the end......great stuff.

I am going to miss more new Hustle. :(

the ending on the roof top was a bit predictable but it was good to see the whole gang together at the end.

As for the 4th wall breaking ending, well its hardly the first time the show has broken the 4th wall, but the characters just walking off the set didnt do it for me.

I liked that ending. They've always broken the fourth wall ever since the first episode and I've missed it of late. It was good to see the old crew back together, and I laughed at both reveals. I missed Danny and Stacey these past few years.

I saw the final episode of Blakes 7 as it aired all those years back, so for a few heartstopping seconds, I was back there at the beginning of the episode. And since I'd been there once I wouldn't put anything past the BBC. Still, I didn't really believe they'd all die on the roof of the Custard Factory. Nice epsiode in my opinion. I knew Stacie was coming back, and I had hoped that Danny would put in an appearance but since I hadn't heard anything I didn't expect him. At the beginning of the ep I'd suspected Stacie of being the shooter but when she showed up as the broker I forgot all about it. I'm pleased I managed to dupe myself! I loved the line "So, how does it work then?" "It's all a lot of flashing lights." I'd really missed Stacie and Albie's moments together, so that was nice.

I normally like a bit of deconstruction but I think that was too much 4th-wall breaking, even for me. (I could launch into the fine literary heritage of conmen and breaking the 4 wall, but I don't think I will!) On the whole I loved it. Bye, bye Mickey Bricks & Co. :adore:

^I saw that as the final con. We know that you know it's a show, but the thing is we also know and we're pulling the rug from under you by showing you we know.

 Very deep, Bob! Did you catch the line on the roof when Mickey says, "We're still being watched"? Does he mean by the audience? Did you think that the roof and sky looked intentionally fake, or unintentionally fake?

I caught that, it did look fake and for some reason I thought they were maybe just going to pull the scenery from around them at that point.
