Hurt/Heal Game: Best TOS Episode: Season 1

^ Hey, T'Bonz. Just out of curiosity, why don't you like "Space Seed"? Any specific grudge? I just noticed that you're the only one constantly "hurting" the episode (with me "healing" it afterwards).

No, she isn't alone. I've hit Space Seed twice and intend to hit it again. I don't believe that it is a Top 10 episode from Season 1. I can't watch it that often. It is my second least watched episode from Season 1...beat only by The Alternative Factor. I think that T'Bonz gave similar reasons that I do.

McGivers is a fickle hoe...I want Khan, I want to save Kirk.
Montalban did a great job...no doubt.
The plot was just toooo contrived: escape, capture, counter-capture, counter-escape, re-escape, re-capture....it was waaayy too much for 50 minutes.
Although TWOK is the most popular of the first six movies, its plot had some of the same contrivances. Sorry, just the truth.

And I think for me that's exactly the point: There may be plot holes (in "Space Seed" and TWOK), but damn, aren't that two exciting pieces of entertainment? It's just so much fun to watch Montalban as Kahn (can't imagine someone different to play the role). I seems like I can easily overlook plot contrivances with such a performance.

And I might add that TWOK is the most popular of all the movies.

And you prefer "Errand of Mercy" over "Space Seed"? I mean, I like them both, but Montalban is a much more compelling villain than Colicos ... IMHO, of course.

It will be interesting to see which episode manages to enter the top ten – "Space Seed" or "This Side of Paradise".
