Good point, but then they would have to use it at a safe distance or else they would kill themselves. I see that only as a last resort.

If we're talking about the Hirogen as we first saw them, or Tony Todd's Hirogen, one of them might defeat a Predator.

But not the wimpified Hirogen we saw in "Tsunkatse" and "Flesh and Blood".
